NOX3 encodes a member of the NOX family of NADPH oxidases. These enzymes have the capacity to generate superoxide and other reactive oxygen species (ROS) and transport electrons across the plasma membrane. The ROS generated by family members have been implicated in numerous biological functions including host defense, posttranlational processing of proteins, cellular signaling, regulation of gene expression, and cell differentiation. NADPH oxidase 3 encoded by NOX3 is expressed predominantly in the inner ear and is involved in the biogenesis of otoconia/otolith, which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in the perception of gravity.
The Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and quantification of Nox3 protein in various biological samples. This antibody has been extensively validated for its superior performance in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and western blotting (WB) applications.
Nox3, also known as NADPH oxidase 3, is a member of the NADPH oxidase family of enzymes that play a crucial role in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Nox3 is primarily expressed in the inner ear, where it is involved in the regulation of hair cell function and maintenance of auditory function.
The Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody has been generated using a highly purified recombinant Nox3 protein as the immunogen. This ensures the antibody's specificity and sensitivity towards Nox3 protein detection. The antibody has been rigorously tested and validated to exhibit minimal cross-reactivity with other members of the NADPH oxidase family, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
In IHC applications, the Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody demonstrates strong and specific staining of Nox3 protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. It exhibits excellent sensitivity, allowing for the detection of low levels of Nox3 expression. The antibody also shows minimal background staining, ensuring clear and precise visualization of Nox3 protein localization.
For IF applications, the Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits bright and specific staining of Nox3 protein in various cell types. It can be used in combination with other cellular markers to study the subcellular localization and co-localization of Nox3 protein.
In WB applications, the Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody recognizes a single band of the expected molecular weight of Nox3 protein. It exhibits high sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate quantification of Nox3 protein levels in different samples.
Overall, the Nox3 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of Nox3 in inner ear function and auditory disorders. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and reliability make it an ideal choice for various applications, including IHC, IF, and WB.
