NODAL (nodal growth differentiation factor) encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein, which regulates early embryonic development. This protein is required for maintenance of human embryonic stem cell pluripotency and may play a role in human placental development. Mutations in NODAL are associated with heterotaxy, a condition characterized by random orientation of visceral organs with respect to the left-right axis.
The Nodal Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological tool designed for the detection and quantification of Nodal protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a specific region of the Nodal protein. It has been extensively validated for its specificity and affinity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.
The Nodal Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional performance in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It recognizes endogenous levels of Nodal protein in various species, making it suitable for use in diverse research areas.
With its superior sensitivity, this antibody allows for the detection of low-abundance Nodal protein, enabling researchers to study its role in various physiological and pathological processes. Its high specificity ensures minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins, providing accurate and reliable data.
The Nodal Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use. It is provided in a convenient size and concentration, allowing for easy handling and storage. Each batch of antibody undergoes rigorous quality control testing to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
In summary, the Nodal Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying Nodal protein expression and its functional implications. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an essential component of any immunological research project.
