Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal protein L 54 (39S ribosomal protein L54 mitochondrial) is encoded by nuclear gene MRPL54 and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein.
The MRP-L54 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for use in various research applications. This antibody is produced using a polyclonal approach, which ensures a high degree of specificity and sensitivity towards the target antigen. The MRP-L54 Polyclonal Antibody is designed to recognize and bind to the MRP-L54 protein, which is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family.
This protein is involved in the transport of various molecules across the cell membrane, and its expression has been linked to drug resistance in cancer cells. The MRP-L54 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to provide reliable and reproducible results. The MRP-L54 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of MRP-L54 in drug resistance and other cellular processes.
