The ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 2 encoded by ABCC2 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein is expressed in the canalicular (apical) part of the hepatocyte and functions in biliary transport. Substrates include anticancer drugs such as vinblastine; therefore, this protein appears to contribute to drug resistance in mammalian cells. Several different mutations in this gene have been observed in patients with Dubin-Johnson syndrome (DJS), an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by conjugated hyperbilirubinemia.

The MRP2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of the multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques and exhibits excellent affinity and selectivity towards MRP2.

The MRP2 protein plays a crucial role in the efflux of a wide range of endogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs and toxins, from cells. Its overexpression has been associated with drug resistance in various cancers, making it an important target for research and therapeutic development.

The MRP2 Polyclonal Antibody is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been rigorously tested to ensure high specificity and sensitivity, providing reliable and accurate results.

This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, allowing for easy and convenient handling. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming and complex preparation steps. The MRP2 Polyclonal Antibody is compatible with a wide range of sample types, including cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and biological fluids.

With its exceptional performance characteristics and broad applicability, the MRP2 Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians studying drug resistance mechanisms and developing novel therapeutic strategies. Its reliable and reproducible results make it an ideal choice for both basic research and clinical applications.
