Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a heme protein synthesized during myeloid differentiation that constitutes the major component of neutrophil azurophilic granules. Produced as a single chain precursor, myeloperoxidase is subsequently cleaved into a light and heavy chain. The mature myeloperoxidase is a tetramer composed of 2 light chains and 2 heavy chains. This enzyme produces hypohalous acids central to the microbicidal activity of neutrophils.
The MPO Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological tool designed for the detection and quantification of myeloperoxidase (MPO) protein. MPO is an enzyme predominantly found in neutrophils and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response. This antibody is produced by immunizing animals with purified MPO protein, resulting in a polyclonal antibody that recognizes multiple epitopes on the target protein.
The MPO Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional affinity and selectivity towards MPO, enabling accurate and reliable detection in various biological samples. It has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). This antibody demonstrates excellent sensitivity, allowing for the detection of low levels of MPO protein with high precision.
Furthermore, the MPO Polyclonal Antibody is manufactured under stringent quality control measures to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility. It is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone antibody preparation. The antibody is provided in a convenient format, allowing for easy storage and long-term stability.
In summary, the MPO Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and efficient tool for researchers and clinicians involved in the study of MPO protein. Its exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and ease of use make it an invaluable asset in various immunological applications.
