KDELR3 encodes a member of the KDEL endoplasmic reticulum protein retention receptor family. Retention of resident soluble proteins in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is achieved in both yeast and animal cells by their continual retrieval from the cis-Golgi, or a pre-Golgi compartment. Sorting of these proteins is dependent on a C-terminal tetrapeptide signal, usually lys-asp-glu-leu (KDEL) in animal cells, and his-asp-glu-leu (HDEL) in S. cerevisiae. This process is mediated by a receptor that recognizes, and binds the tetrapeptide-containing protein, and returns it to the ER. In yeast, the sorting receptor encoded by a single gene, ERD2, is a seven-transmembrane protein. Unlike yeast, several human homologs of the ERD2 gene, constituting the KDEL receptor gene family, have been described. KDELR3 was the third member of the family to be identified. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The KDEL Receptor 3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of KDEL receptor 3 protein expression. This antibody is produced using advanced techniques to ensure high affinity and specificity, making it an ideal choice for various applications in research and diagnostics.

The KDEL receptor 3 is a crucial component of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) retrieval system, responsible for the retrieval of ER-resident proteins that have escaped to the Golgi apparatus. It plays a vital role in maintaining ER homeostasis and protein quality control. Dysregulation of KDEL receptor 3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune diseases.

The KDEL Receptor 3 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its performance in various experimental settings, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits excellent sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and reliable detection of KDEL receptor 3 protein expression in various sample types.

This antibody is produced using high-quality materials and stringent quality control measures to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility. It is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use, and is compatible with a wide range of experimental protocols and techniques.

With its exceptional performance and reliability, the KDEL Receptor 3 Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians studying the role of KDEL receptor 3 in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its application in various research areas, including cell biology, molecular biology, and pathology, makes it a valuable asset in advancing scientific knowledge and improving diagnostic capabilities.
