IGF2R encodes a receptor for both insulin-like growth factor 2 and mannose 6-phosphate. The binding sites for each ligand are located on different segments of the protein. This receptor has various functions, including in the intracellular trafficking of lysosomal enzymes, the activation of transforming growth factor beta, and the degradation of insulin-like growth factor 2. Mutation or loss of heterozygosity of this gene has been association with risk of hepatocellular carcinoma. The orthologous mouse gene is imprinted and shows exclusive expression from the maternal allele; however, imprinting of the human gene may be polymorphic, as only a minority of individuals showed biased expression from the maternal allele.
The IGF-IIR Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological tool designed for the detection and quantification of insulin-like growth factor II receptor (IGF-IIR) protein. This antibody is produced using a polyclonal approach, ensuring a diverse range of antibodies that recognize multiple epitopes on the IGF-IIR protein.
The IGF-IIR Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional affinity and selectivity towards the IGF-IIR protein, enabling accurate and reliable detection in various biological samples. It has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
This antibody is manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques and undergoes rigorous quality control measures to ensure consistent performance and reproducibility. It is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone antibody preparation.
The IGF-IIR Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers studying the role of IGF-IIR in various physiological and pathological processes. Its high sensitivity and specificity make it ideal for investigating IGF-IIR expression levels, localization, and function in different tissues and cell types.
With its exceptional performance and ease of use, the IGF-IIR Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable asset for any laboratory conducting research in the field of insulin-like growth factor signaling.
