In vertebrates, the genes encoding the class of transcription factors called homeobox genes are found in clusters named A, B, C, and D on four separate chromosomes. Expression of these proteins is spatially and temporally regulated during embryonic development. HOXA11 is part of the A cluster on chromosome 7 and encodes a DNA-binding transcription factor which may regulate gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation. HOXA11 is involved in the regulation of uterine development and is required for female fertility. Mutations in this gene can cause radio-ulnar synostosis with amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia.
The HoxA11/D11 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of HoxA11/D11 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of HoxA11/D11 protein. The antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is supplied as a liquid solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The HoxA11/D11 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It recognizes a single band of approximately 40 kDa in Western blot analysis of HoxA11/D11 protein expressed in transfected cells or tissues. In addition, the antibody shows strong staining of HoxA11/D11 protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections by immunohistochemistry.
This antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the role of HoxA11/D11 protein in various biological processes, including embryonic development, cell differentiation, and cancer progression. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal reagent for detecting HoxA11/D11 protein in complex biological samples. The HoxA11/D11 Polyclonal Antibody is available in various sizes and formats to meet the needs of different research applications.
