Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. HIST4H4 is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H4 family. Transcripts from HIST4H4 lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element.
The Histone H4 (Di Methyl Lys79) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and analysis of histone H4 protein modifications. This antibody is designed to specifically recognize and bind to the di-methylated form of lysine 79 on histone H4, allowing for the precise identification and quantification of this specific modification.
Histone proteins play a crucial role in the packaging and organization of DNA within the nucleus, and their post-translational modifications have been implicated in various cellular processes, including gene expression, DNA repair, and chromatin remodeling. The di-methylation of lysine 79 on histone H4 has been shown to be involved in the regulation of gene expression and is associated with both transcriptional activation and repression.
The Histone H4 (Di Methyl Lys79) Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various experimental techniques, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. It exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with other histone modifications, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
This antibody is produced using high-quality immunogens and state-of-the-art purification techniques, resulting in a highly pure and concentrated antibody preparation. It is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use in your experiments.
Whether you are studying epigenetics, chromatin biology, or gene regulation, the Histone H4 (Di Methyl Lys79) Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for your research. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and reliability make it an ideal choice for the detection and analysis of histone H4 protein modifications.
