Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. This structure consists of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a nucleosome, an octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. HIST1H3A (histone cluster 1 H3 family member a) is intronless and encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H3 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails; instead, they contain a palindromic termination element. HIST1H3A is found in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22-p21.3.
The Histone H3 (Mono Methyl Arg26) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of histone H3 protein modifications. This antibody is produced using advanced polyclonal antibody technology, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards the mono methylated arginine 26 residue of histone H3.
Histone H3 is a crucial component of chromatin structure and plays a vital role in gene regulation and DNA packaging. The mono methylation of arginine 26 on histone H3 has been implicated in various biological processes, including transcriptional activation and repression, DNA repair, and cell cycle regulation.
This polyclonal antibody is rigorously validated for its performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and chromatin immunoprecipitation. It exhibits exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and reliable detection of mono methylated arginine 26 on histone H3 in various biological samples.
