Glutathione S-transferase theta-1 encoded by GSTT1 is a member of a superfamily of proteins that catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a variety of electrophilic and hydrophobic compounds. Human GSTs can be divided into five main classes: alpha, mu, pi, theta, and zeta. The theta class includes GSTT1, GSTT2, and GSTT2B. GSTT1 and GSTT2/GSTT2B share 55% amino acid sequence identity and may play a role in human carcinogenesis. The GSTT1 gene is haplotype-specific and is absent from 38% of the population. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

The GSTT1/4 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Glutathione S-Transferase Theta 1/4 (GSTT1/4) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human GSTT1/4 protein. The antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is supplied as a liquid solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.

The GSTT1/4 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been shown to specifically recognize GSTT1/4 protein in human, mouse, and rat tissues and cell lines. The antibody has a high affinity for the target protein, with a reported sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL.

This antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the role of GSTT1/4 protein in various biological processes, including drug metabolism, detoxification, and carcinogenesis. It can be used to detect the expression level and localization of GSTT1/4 protein in different tissues and cell types, as well as to investigate the effect of various treatments and interventions on its expression.

In summary, the GSTT1/4 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that provides accurate and reproducible results in various applications. Its specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an ideal choice for researchers working in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmacology.
