The protein encoded by PLA2G6 (phospholipase A2 group VI) is an A2 phospholipase, a class of enzyme that catalyzes the release of fatty acids from phospholipids. The encoded protein may play a role in phospholipid remodelling, arachidonic acid release, leukotriene and prostaglandin synthesis, fas-mediated apoptosis, and transmembrane ion flux in glucose-stimulated B-cells. Several transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been described, but the full-length nature of only three of them have been determined to date.
The Group VI iPLA2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of Group VI calcium-independent phospholipase A2 (iPLA2) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards the target protein.
The Group VI iPLA2 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional sensitivity, enabling accurate quantification of the target protein even at low concentrations. It has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
This antibody is designed to recognize the conserved epitopes of Group VI iPLA2, making it suitable for use in a wide range of species, including human, mouse, and rat. It exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins, ensuring reliable and specific results.
