Cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans are composed of a membrane-associated protein core substituted with a variable number of heparan sulfate chains. Members of the glypican-related integral membrane proteoglycan family (GRIPS) contain a core protein anchored to the cytoplasmic membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage. These proteins may play a role in the control of cell division and growth regulation. Glypican-3 encoded by GPC3 can bind to and inhibit the dipeptidyl peptidase activity of CD26, and it can induce apoptosis in certain cell types. Deletion mutations in this gene are associated with Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome, also known as Simpson dysmorphia syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
The Glypican-3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of Glypican-3 protein expression. This antibody is produced using advanced techniques to ensure high affinity and specificity, making it an ideal choice for various applications in research and diagnostics.
Glypican-3 is a cell surface proteoglycan that plays a crucial role in embryonic development and tumorigenesis. It is highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is considered a potential diagnostic and therapeutic target for this aggressive cancer. The Glypican-3 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its ability to specifically recognize Glypican-3 in various sample types, including tissue sections, cell lysates, and serum.
This antibody offers exceptional sensitivity, enabling the detection of low levels of Glypican-3 expression. Its high specificity ensures minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, allowing for accurate and reliable results. The Glypican-3 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).
In addition to its exceptional performance, this antibody is manufactured under strict quality control standards to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility. It is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone antibody preparation steps.
