The Fanconi anemia complementation group (FANC) currently includes FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCD1 (also called BRCA2), FANCD2, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCI, FANCJ (also called BRIP1), FANCL, FANCM and FANCN (also called PALB2). The previously defined group FANCH is the same as FANCA. Fanconi anemia is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder characterized by cytogenetic instability, hypersensitivity to DNA crosslinking agents, increased chromosomal breakage, and defective DNA repair. The members of the Fanconi anemia complementation group do not share sequence similarity; they are related by their assembly into a common nuclear protein complex. FANCD2 encodes the protein for complementation group D2. Fanconi anemia group D2 protein is monoubiquinated in response to DNA damage, resulting in its localization to nuclear foci with other proteins (BRCA1 AND BRCA2) involved in homology-directed DNA repair. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
The FANCD2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of FANCD2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody has been extensively validated and exhibits exceptional sensitivity and specificity, making it an ideal choice for researchers in the field of DNA repair and genomic stability.
The FANCD2 protein plays a crucial role in the Fanconi Anemia (FA) pathway, which is responsible for maintaining genomic integrity and preventing the accumulation of DNA damage. Dysregulation or mutations in the FANCD2 gene have been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and Fanconi Anemia. Therefore, the accurate detection and quantification of FANCD2 protein levels are of utmost importance in understanding the underlying mechanisms of these diseases.
The FANCD2 Polyclonal Antibody has been developed using high-quality immunogens and advanced immunization techniques. It exhibits excellent specificity towards FANCD2 protein and shows minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated using various experimental approaches, including Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, ensuring its reliability and reproducibility.
The FANCD2 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming and complex antibody preparation procedures. It is available in different sizes to accommodate various experimental requirements. The antibody is provided in a convenient storage format, ensuring its long-term stability and usability.
In summary, the FANCD2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of FANCD2 protein. Its exceptional sensitivity and specificity, along with its extensive validation, make it an indispensable asset for researchers studying DNA repair and genomic stability.
