Cell proliferation is controlled at specific stages of the cell cycle by distinct protein kinase complexes. These complexes consist of a catalytic subunit associating with a specific regulatory subunit to form the active kinase. The cyclins, which include cyclin A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, T and their related proteins, including Dbf4, comprise the regulatory subunits of these kinase complexes. The controlled activation of the kinase complexes at various intervals of the cell cycle is regulated by the availability of the cyclins to the catalytic subunit. Unlike the catalytic subunit, which is expressed continually, the expression and stability of the regulatory subunit fluctuates depending on the stage of the cell cycle and, thereby, regulates the kinase activity. Cyclin L1 is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein that can be detected in higher levels in thymus. In neck and head squamous cell carcinomas, cyclin L1 can be overexpressed and is therefore often considered a proto-oncogene. It interacts with POLR2A, CDC2L and SFRS2. Cyclin L1 plays a role in the mRNA splicing process regulation.
The CYP24A1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of CYP24A1 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody has been meticulously developed using advanced immunization techniques, resulting in a high affinity and specificity towards the target protein.
CYP24A1, also known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D-24-hydroxylase, plays a crucial role in the metabolism of vitamin D. It catalyzes the conversion of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 to the biologically inactive form, 24,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3. Dysregulation of CYP24A1 has been implicated in various diseases, including vitamin D-related disorders, hypercalcemia, and certain cancers.
The CYP24A1 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional performance in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been rigorously validated to ensure reliable and reproducible results, making it an ideal choice for both research and diagnostic purposes.
This antibody is produced using high-quality materials and undergoes stringent quality control measures to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and optimal performance. It is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use, and is compatible with various assay conditions and protocols.
In summary, the CYP24A1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the expression and function of CYP24A1 protein. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and reliability make it an indispensable asset for researchers and clinicians alike in the field of vitamin D metabolism and related disorders.
