The protein encoded by CCNE2 (cyclin E2)belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK2. This cyclin has been shown to specifically interact with CIP/KIP family of CDK inhibitors, and plays a role in cell cycle G1/S transition. The expression of CCNE2 peaks at the G1-S phase and exhibits a pattern of tissue specificity distinct from that of cyclin E1. A significantly increased expression level of this gene was observed in tumor-derived cells.
The Cyclin E2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Cyclin E2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human Cyclin E2 protein. The antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The Cyclin E2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation and cancer biology. Cyclin E2 is a key regulator of the G1/S transition in the cell cycle and is frequently overexpressed in various types of cancer. The ability to detect Cyclin E2 protein levels in biological samples can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of cancer development and progression.
This antibody has been extensively validated for specificity and sensitivity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results. It is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. The antibody is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different research applications.
In summary, the Cyclin E2 Polyclonal Antibody is a high-quality, reliable, and specific tool for the detection of Cyclin E2 protein in various biological samples. Its use can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of cancer development and progression, making it an essential tool for researchers in the field of cancer biology.
