CRH encodes a member of the corticotropin-releasing factor family. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature neuropeptide hormone. In response to stress, this hormone is secreted by the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus, binds to corticotropin releasing hormone receptors and stimulates the release of adrenocorticotropic hormone from the pituitary gland. Marked reduction in this protein has been observed in association with Alzheimer's disease. Autosomal recessive hypothalamic corticotropin deficiency has multiple and potentially fatal metabolic consequences including hypoglycemia and hepatitis. In addition to production in the hypothalamus, this protein is also synthesized in peripheral tissues, such as T lymphocytes, and is highly expressed in the placenta. In the placenta it is a marker that determines the length of gestation and the timing of parturition and delivery. A rapid increase in circulating levels of the hormone occurs at the onset of parturition, suggesting that, in addition to its metabolic functions, this protein may act as a trigger for parturition.
The COP1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for use in various research applications. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of the COP1 protein. The COP1 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays.
The COP1 protein is a key regulator of various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, DNA damage response, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of COP1 has been implicated in the development and progression of various diseases, including cancer. The COP1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the role of COP1 in these processes.
The COP1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified using immobilized protein A. This antibody is provided in a liquid format, which is ready to use for various applications. The COP1 Polyclonal Antibody is highly specific and sensitive, with minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins.
In summary, the COP1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that is essential for researchers studying the role of COP1 in various cellular processes. This antibody is extensively validated and supplied in a purified IgG fraction, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.
