CREB1 encodes a transcription factor (cAMP responsive element binding protein 1) that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. cAMP responsive element binding protein 1 binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. cAMP responsive element binding protein 1 is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of CREB1 results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

The CREB Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of CREB protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CREB protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.

The CREB Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting CREB protein in various cell lines and tissues. It has been shown to recognize both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of CREB protein, making it a versatile tool for studying the regulation of CREB activity in different cellular contexts.

This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is recommended to store the antibody at -20°C for long-term storage and to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Overall, the CREB Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent for the detection of CREB protein in various biological samples. Its specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an essential tool for researchers studying the role of CREB in cellular signaling and gene expression.
