Cortactin, encoded by CTTN gene (formerly EMS1), was originally identified as a substrate of the Src kinase. It is a cytoskeletal protein that interacts with F-actin and Arp2/3 complex and plays an important role in regulation of actin assembly and cytoskeleton dynamics. Overexpression of cortactin increases cell migration, and is thought to contribute to the invasive phennotype of breast cancer and several other tumors. Three isoforms of cortactin exist due to the alternative splicing.
The CORTACTIN POLYCLONAL ANTIBODY is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and analysis of cortactin protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced through a rigorous process, ensuring its exceptional quality and performance.
With its polyclonal nature, this antibody exhibits a broad reactivity, enabling it to recognize cortactin protein across multiple species. This versatility makes it an ideal choice for researchers working with diverse model organisms.
The CORTACTIN POLYCLONAL ANTIBODY demonstrates exceptional sensitivity and specificity, allowing for precise and accurate detection of cortactin protein in both native and denatured forms. Its high affinity ensures minimal background noise, resulting in reliable and reproducible results.
