The protein encoded by PPT1 (palmitoyl-protein thioesterase 1) is a small glycoprotein involved in the catabolism of lipid-modified proteins during lysosomal degradation. The encoded enzyme removes thioester-linked fatty acyl groups such as palmitate from cysteine residues. Defects in PPT1 are a cause of infantile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis 1 (CLN1, or INCL) and neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis 4 (CLN4). Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for PPT1.

The CLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of CLN1 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal region of human CLN1 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards CLN1 protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.

The CLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in a variety of immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect CLN1 protein in a variety of tissues and cell types. This antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, and has been tested for purity and specificity by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting.

The CLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of CLN1 protein in various biological processes, including lysosomal storage disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Its high sensitivity and specificity make it an ideal reagent for the detection and quantification of CLN1 protein in complex biological samples. With its reliable performance and consistent results, the CLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is a trusted choice for researchers in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry.
