The nuclear lamina consists of a two-dimensional matrix of proteins located next to the inner nuclear membrane. The lamin family of proteins make up the matrix and are highly conserved in evolution. During mitosis, the lamina matrix is reversibly disassembled as the lamin proteins are phosphorylated. Lamin proteins are thought to be involved in nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression. Vertebrate lamins consist of two types, A and B. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Mutations in LMNA lead to several diseases: emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy, familial partial lipodystrophy, limb girdle muscular dystrophy, dilated cardiomyopathy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome.
The Cleaved-PARP-1 (G215) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and quantification of cleaved PARP-1 protein in various biological samples. PARP-1, also known as poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 1, is a crucial enzyme involved in DNA repair and cell survival pathways. Cleavage of PARP-1 by caspases during apoptosis is a well-established marker of cellular stress and programmed cell death.
This polyclonal antibody has been meticulously developed using advanced immunization techniques, resulting in a high affinity and specificity towards the cleaved form of PARP-1. It recognizes the specific epitope G215, ensuring accurate and precise detection of cleaved PARP-1 in a variety of experimental settings.
The Cleaved-PARP-1 (G215) Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional sensitivity, enabling the detection of even low levels of cleaved PARP-1 in complex biological samples. It has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Its versatility allows for seamless integration into diverse research areas, such as cancer biology, apoptosis studies, and drug discovery.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ensuring ease of use and convenience. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone reconstitution steps. The Cleaved-PARP-1 (G215) Polyclonal Antibody is compatible with a wide range of sample types, including cell lysates, tissue extracts, and purified proteins.
With its exceptional performance characteristics and robustness, the Cleaved-PARP-1 (G215) Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers seeking to investigate the role of PARP-1 cleavage in cellular processes and disease pathogenesis. Its reliable and reproducible results make it an ideal choice for both basic research and clinical applications.
