Chromogranin A encoded by CHGA is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. CHGA product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Two other peptides, catestatin and chromofungin, have antimicrobial activity and antifungal activity, respectively. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for CHGA.
The Chr-A Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that has been developed for the detection of Chromogranin A (Chr-A) protein. Chr-A is a glycoprotein that is primarily expressed in neuroendocrine cells and is widely used as a biomarker for neuroendocrine tumors. This antibody has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. The Chr-A Polyclonal Antibody is produced using high-quality materials and advanced techniques to ensure consistent and reliable results. It is available in various sizes and formats to meet the diverse needs of researchers and clinicians. With its exceptional performance and versatility, the Chr-A Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for the study and diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors.
