CD160 is an 27 kDa glycoprotein which was initially identified with the monoclonal antibody BY55. Its expression is tightly associated with peripheral blood NK cells and CD8 T lymphocytes with cytolytic effector activity. The cDNA sequence of CD160 predicts a cysteine-rich, glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored protein of 181 amino acids with a single Ig-like domain weakly homologous to KIR2DL4 molecule. CD160 is expressed at the cell surface as a tightly disulfide-linked multimer. RNA blot analysis revealed CD160 mRNAs of 1. and 1. kb whose expression was highly restricted to circulating NK and T cells, spleen and small intestine. Within NK cells CD160 is expressed by CD56dimCD16+ cells whereas among circulating T cells its expression is mainly restricted to TCRgd bearing cells and to TCRab+CD8brightCD95+CD56+CD28-CD27-cells. In tissues, CD160 is expressed on all intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes. CD160 shows a broad specificity for binding to both classical and nonclassical MHC class I molecules.

The CD160 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of CD160 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CD160 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards CD160 protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.

The CD160 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in a variety of immunological techniques, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect CD160 protein expression in a variety of tissues and cell types. This antibody is supplied as a liquid solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.

The CD160 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of CD160 protein in various biological processes, including immune regulation, inflammation, and cancer. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal reagent for the detection and quantification of CD160 protein expression in a variety of samples. With its reliable performance and ease of use, the CD160 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for any researcher working in the field of immunology.
