The poliovirus receptor encoded by PVR is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The external domain mediates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix molecule vitronectin, while its intracellular domain interacts with the dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1. The gene is specific to the primate lineage, and serves as a cellular receptor for poliovirus in the first step of poliovirus replication. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The CD155 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of CD155 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CD155 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.
The CD155 protein, also known as poliovirus receptor-related protein 1 (PVRL1), is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a critical role in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. It is expressed on a wide range of cell types, including epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and immune cells, and has been implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, such as viral infection, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.
The CD155 Polyclonal Antibody has been validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD155 protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. It recognizes a single band of approximately 70 kDa in Western blot analysis and shows strong staining of CD155-positive cells in immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry assays. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
In summary, the CD155 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the detection and analysis of CD155 protein in various research applications. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers studying the role of CD155 in normal and pathological processes.
