Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase eta encoded by PTPRJ is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP possesses an extracellular region containing five fibronectin type III repeats, a single transmembrane region, and a single intracytoplasmic catalytic domain, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. This protein is present in all hematopoietic lineages, and was shown to negatively regulate T cell receptor signaling possibly through interfering with the phosphorylation of Phospholipase C Gamma 1 and Linker for Activation of T Cells. This protein can also dephosphorylate the PDGF beta receptor, and may be involved in UV-induced signal transduction. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

The CD148 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of CD148 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CD148 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.

The CD148 protein, also known as protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type J (PTPRJ), is a transmembrane protein that plays a critical role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and migration. Dysregulation of CD148 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Therefore, the CD148 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the function and regulation of this important protein.

This antibody has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been shown to exhibit high specificity and sensitivity. It is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. The CD148 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and effective tool for the detection and analysis of CD148 protein in various biological samples, making it an essential reagent for researchers in the fields of cell biology, immunology, and cancer research.
