Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor subunit alpha encoded by CSF2RA is the alpha subunit of the heterodimeric receptor for colony stimulating factor 2, a cytokine which controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The encoded protein is a member of the cytokine family of receptors. This gene is found in the pseudoautosomal region (PAR) of the X and Y chromosomes. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, with some of the isoforms being membrane-bound and others being soluble.
The CD116 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of CD116 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of the human CD116 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the CD116 protein, making it an ideal tool for a wide range of research applications.
The CD116 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect both the full-length and truncated forms of the CD116 protein. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The CD116 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of CD116 in various biological processes, including inflammation, immune response, and hematopoiesis. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal reagent for the detection and quantification of CD116 protein expression in a variety of sample types, including tissue lysates, cell lysates, and serum. With its reliable performance and consistent results, the CD116 Polyclonal Antibody is a must-have for any laboratory conducting research in this field.
