CALM1 encodes a member (calmodulin 1) of the EF-hand calcium-binding protein family. It is one of three genes which encode an identical calcium binding protein which is one of the four subunits of phosphorylase kinase. Two pseudogenes have been identified on chromosome 7 and X. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for CALM1.
The Calmodulin Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of calmodulin protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced techniques, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards calmodulin.
Calmodulin is a ubiquitous calcium-binding protein that plays a crucial role in regulating numerous cellular processes, including signal transduction, enzyme activity, and gene expression. The Calmodulin Polyclonal Antibody recognizes both the calcium-bound and calcium-free forms of calmodulin, making it an ideal tool for studying the dynamic nature of calmodulin-mediated signaling pathways.
This antibody has been extensively validated for various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits excellent performance in detecting endogenous calmodulin in a wide range of species, including human, mouse, and rat.
The Calmodulin Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, ensuring convenience and ease of use. It is provided in a liquid format, allowing for direct application without the need for reconstitution. The antibody is formulated with high-quality reagents to ensure optimal performance and long-term stability.
