ABL1 is a protooncogene that encodes a protein tyrosine kinase involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell division, adhesion, differentiation, and response to stress. The activity of the protein is negatively regulated by its SH3 domain, whereby deletion of the region encoding this domain results in an oncogene. The ubiquitously expressed protein has DNA-binding activity that is regulated by CDC2-mediated phosphorylation, suggesting a cell cycle function. This gene has been found fused to a variety of translocation partner genes in various leukemias, most notably the t(9;22) translocation that results in a fusion with the 5' end of the breakpoint cluster region gene (BCR; MIM: 151410). Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants, which contain alternative first exons that are spliced to the remaining common exons.

The c-Abl Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of c-Abl protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human c-Abl protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry.

The c-Abl Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting c-Abl protein in various cell lines and tissues. It has been shown to recognize both the full-length and truncated forms of c-Abl protein, making it a versatile tool for studying the function and regulation of this important protein.

This antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is recommended to store the antibody at -20°C for long-term storage and to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Overall, the c-Abl Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that can be used for a wide range of research applications related to c-Abl protein. Its specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an essential tool for any researcher studying this important protein.
