ATP5F1 (ATP synthase, H+ transporting, mitochondrial Fo complex subunit B1) encodes a subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase. Mitochondrial ATP synthase catalyzes ATP synthesis, utilizing an electrochemical gradient of protons across the inner membrane during oxidative phosphorylation. ATP synthase is composed of two linked multi-subunit complexes:
the soluble catalytic core, F1, and the membrane-spanning component, Fo, comprising the proton channel. The catalytic portion of mitochondrial ATP synthase consists of 5 different subunits (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon) assembled with a stoichiometry of 3 alpha, 3 beta, and a single representative of the other 3. The proton channel seems to have nine subunits (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, F6 and 8). ATP5F1 encodes the b subunit of the proton channel.
The ATP5F1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of ATP synthase subunit alpha, mitochondrial (ATP5F1) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human ATP5F1 protein.
The ATP5F1 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. This antibody is suitable for use in research studies aimed at investigating the role of ATP5F1 in various biological processes, including energy metabolism, oxidative phosphorylation, and mitochondrial function. The ATP5F1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied in a liquid form and is ready to use for various applications. It is a reliable and high-quality tool for researchers in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology.
