The Rat Pulmonary Surfactant-Associated Protein B, SP-B ELISA Kit is a highly reliable and accurate diagnostic tool designed for the quantitative detection of SP-B in rat pulmonary surfactant samples. This ELISA kit is specifically developed to provide researchers and clinicians with a precise and efficient method for measuring the levels of SP-B in rat lung tissue, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, and other biological samples.
The kit utilizes a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique, which involves the use of two highly specific antibodies that bind to different epitopes of SP-B. The first antibody is coated onto the microplate wells, while the second antibody is conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The sample containing SP-B is added to the wells, and the HRP-conjugated antibody binds to the SP-B, forming a sandwich complex. After washing away any unbound substances, a substrate solution is added, which reacts with the HRP enzyme to produce a color change. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the amount of SP-B present in the sample, which can be measured using a microplate reader.
This ELISA kit is highly sensitive, with a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, and has a low limit of detection of 0.078 ng/mL. It is also highly specific, with no cross-reactivity with other related proteins. The kit is easy to use, with a simple and straightforward protocol that can be completed in less than 4 hours. It is suitable for use in a wide range of research and clinical applications, including pulmonary disease diagnosis, drug development, and basic research into the role of SP-B in lung function.
