PSMA

PSMA is a 750 amino acid type II membrane glycoprotein. PSMA is expressed in normal and malignant prostatic epithelium and in a subset of nonprostatic tissues. PSMA expression has been shown to correlate with the progression of prostate cancer, with highest levels expressed in hormonerefractory and metastatic disease. PSMA expresses in the neovasculature of a variety of non-prostatic solid tumors.
