Human CTSD(Cathepsin D) ELISA Kit

The Human CTSD (Cathepsin D) ELISA Kit is a highly reliable and accurate diagnostic tool designed for the quantitative measurement of Cathepsin D in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit is based on the sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique, which utilizes two specific antibodies that bind to different epitopes of the target protein. The assay is performed in a 96-well microplate coated with a monoclonal antibody against human Cathepsin D.

The sample is added to the wells, and the Cathepsin D present in the sample binds to the immobilized antibody. After washing away any unbound substances, a biotinylated polyclonal antibody specific to Cathepsin D is added to the wells, which binds to the captured Cathepsin D. Following another washing step, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells, which binds to the biotinylated antibody. Finally, a substrate solution is added, and the color development is measured using a microplate reader. The concentration of Cathepsin D in the sample is determined by comparing the optical density of the sample to a standard curve.
