Mouse MMP-8(Matrix Metalloproteinase 8) ELISA Kit

The Mouse MMP-8 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 8) ELISA Kit is a highly reliable and sensitive assay designed for the quantitative detection of MMP-8 in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit is based on the sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) principle, which utilizes a monoclonal antibody specific for MMP-8 coated onto a 96-well plate.

The MMP-8 present in the sample binds to the immobilized antibody, and a biotinylated polyclonal antibody specific for MMP-8 is added to the wells. After washing away any unbound substances, an enzyme-conjugated streptavidin is added to the wells, which binds to the biotinylated antibody. Following another washing step, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color develops in proportion to the amount of MMP-8 bound in the initial step. The intensity of the color is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm, and the concentration of MMP-8 in the sample is determined by comparing the optical density of the sample to the standard curve. This kit is highly specific, with no cross-reactivity with other MMPs or related proteins. It is easy to use, with a short assay time of only 3 hours, and has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL.
