Source: Rabbit
Dilution: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. Immunohistochemistry: 1/100 - 1/300. ELISA: 1/5000. Not yet tested in other applications.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Tubulin gamma. AA range:386-435
Storage_stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed_band(KD): 51kD
Human_gene_id: 7283
Human_swiss_prot_no: P23258
Subcellular_location: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome . Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, spindle . Localizes to mitotic spindle microtubules. .
Other_name: TUBG1; TUBG; Tubulin gamma-1 chain; Gamma-1-tubulin; Gamma-tubulin complex component 1; GCP-1
Background: This gene encodes a member of the tubulin superfamily. The encoded protein localizes to the centrosome where it binds to microtubules as part of a complex referred to as the gamma-tubulin ring complex. The protein mediates microtubule nucleation and is required for microtubule formation and progression of the cell cycle. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 7.
