Applications: WB;IHC;IF;ELISA
Reactivity: Human;Rat;Mouse;
Source: Rabbit
Dilution: IHC-p: 100-300.Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. ELISA: 1/10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Fatty Acid Synthase. AA range:1478-1527
Storage_stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed_band(KD): 273kD
Human_gene_id: 2194
Human_swiss_prot_no: P49327
Subcellular_location: Cytoplasm . Melanosome . Identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions from stage I to stage IV.
Other_name: FASN; FAS; Fatty acid synthase
Background: The enzyme encoded by this gene is a multifunctional protein. Its main function is to catalyze the synthesis of palmitate from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA, in the presence of NADPH, into long-chain saturated fatty acids. In some cancer cell lines, this protein has been found to be fused with estrogen receptor-alpha (ER-alpha), in which the N-terminus of FAS is fused in-frame with the C-terminus of ER-alpha.
