Source: Rabbit
Dilution: Western Blot: 1/500 - 1/2000. ELISA: 1/10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human BCLAF1. AA range:281-330
Storage_stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed_band(KD): 106kD
Human_gene_id: 9774
Human_swiss_prot_no: Q9NYF8
Subcellular_location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Nucleus speckle . Nucleus, nucleoplasm .
Other_name: BCLAF1; BTF; KIAA0164; Bcl-2-associated transcription factor 1; Btf
Background: This gene encodes a transcriptional repressor that interacts with several members of the BCL2 family of proteins. Overexpression of this protein induces apoptosis, which can be suppressed by co-expression of BCL2 proteins. The protein localizes to dot-like structures throughout the nucleus, and redistributes to a zone near the nuclear envelope in cells undergoing apoptosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],
