Storage_stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed_band(KD): 38kD
Human_gene_id: 92609
Human_swiss_prot_no: Q3ZCQ8
Subcellular_location: Mitochondrion inner membrane ; Single-pass membrane protein .; [Isoform 2]: Nucleus speckle . Nuclear and enriched in speckles with snRNPs. .
Other_name: Mitochondrial import inner membrane translocase subunit TIM50
Background: This gene encodes a subunit of the TIM23 inner mitochondrial membrane translocase complex. The encoded protein functions as the receptor subunit that recognizes the mitochondrial targeting signal, or presequence, on protein cargo that is destined for the mitochondrial inner membrane and matrix. This protein may also play a role in maintaining the membrane permeability barrier, and knockdown of this gene in human cells results in the release of cytochrome c and apoptosis.
