Immunogen: Synthesized peptide derived from human protein . at AA range: 110-190
Storage_stability: -20°C/1 year
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed_band(KD): 25kD
Human_gene_id: 9982
Human_swiss_prot_no: Q14512
Subcellular_location: Secreted, extracellular space . Cell membrane ; Peripheral membrane protein . Extracellular and plasma membrane-associated. Colocalizes with HSPG2 in the pericellular environment of squamous cell carcinomas. .
Background: This gene encodes a secreted fibroblast growth factor carrier protein. The encoded protein plays a critical role in cell proliferation, differentiation and migration by binding to fibroblast growth factors and potentiating their biological effects on target cells. The encoded protein may also play a role in tumor growth as an angiogenic switch molecule, and expression of this gene has been associated with several types of cancer including pancreatic and colorectal adenocarcinoma. A pseudogene of this gene is also located on the short arm of chromosome 4. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011],
