{"product_id":"rq6612","title":"DAO Antibody \/ D-amino-acid oxidase","description":"\u003cp\u003eD-amino acid oxidase (DAAO; also OXDA, DAMOX) is an enzyme with the function on a molecular level to oxidize D-amino acids to the corresponding alpha-keto acids, producing ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. This gene encodes the peroxisomal enzyme D-amino acid oxidase. The enzyme is a flavoprotein which uses flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as its prosthetic group. Its substrates include a wide variety of D-amino acids, but it is inactive on the naturally occurring L-amino acids. Its biological function is not known; it may act as a detoxifying agent which removes D-amino acids that accumulate during aging. In mice, it degrades D-serine, a co-agonist of the NMDA receptor. This gene may play a role in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"NSJ Bioreagents","offers":[{"title":"100 ug \/ Rabbit","offer_id":49475842507032,"sku":"RQ6612","price":439.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0590\/5652\/1400\/files\/get_image_ef0fef1d-6a57-4c8c-a871-2a6f54624f6a.jpg?v=1734461003","url":"https:\/\/danabiosci.com\/products\/rq6612","provider":"Dana Bioscience","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
