This locus was identified as encoding a gene that when mutated or lost caused the lissencephaly associated with Miller-Dieker lissencephaly syndrome. This gene encodes the non-catalytic alpha subunit of the intracellular Ib isoform of platelet-activating factor acteylhydrolase, a heterotrimeric enzyme that specifically catalyzes the removal of the acetyl group at the SN-2 position of platelet-activating factor (identified as 1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glyceryl-3-phosphorylcholine). Two other isoforms of intracellular platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase exist: one composed of multiple subunits, the other, a single subunit. In addition, a single-subunit isoform of this enzyme is found in serum.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"NSJ Bioreagents","offers":[{"title":"100 ug","offer_id":51549667688728,"sku":"RQ8508","price":449.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0590\/5652\/1400\/files\/get_image_fd29d9af-daa9-4888-930f-80250c716953.jpg?v=1768301732","url":"https:\/\/danabiosci.com\/products\/nsj-rq8508-100ug","provider":"Dana Bioscience","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
