Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) is a complex multifunctional enzyme system. ACC is a biotin-containing enzyme which catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. There are two ACC forms, alpha and beta, encoded by two different genes. ACC-alpha is highly enriched in lipogenic tissues. The enzyme is under long term control at the transcriptional and translational levels and under short term regulation by the phosphorylation\/dephosphorylation of targeted serine residues and by allosteric transformation by citrate or palmitoyl-CoA. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants divergent in the 5' sequence and encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"NSJ Bioreagents","offers":[{"title":"100 ug","offer_id":51549929865496,"sku":"RQ7317","price":449.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0590\/5652\/1400\/files\/get_image_d60fd3cb-2f79-4d82-9272-a19db1ec0d13.jpg?v=1768303595","url":"https:\/\/danabiosci.com\/products\/nsj-rq7317-100ug","provider":"Dana Bioscience","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
