The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors. The E2F family plays a crucial role in the control of cell cycle and action of tumor suppressor proteins and is also a target of the transforming proteins of small DNA tumor viruses. The E2F proteins contain several evolutionally conserved domains found in most members of the family. These domains include a DNA binding domain, a dimerization domain which determines interaction with the differentiation regulated transcription factor proteins (DP), a transactivation domain enriched in acidic amino acids, and a tumor suppressor protein association domain which is embedded within the transactivation domain.  This protein and another 2 members, E2F2 and E2F3, have an additional cyclin binding domain. This protein binds preferentially to retinoblastoma protein pRB in a cell-cycle dependent manner. It can media

The E2F-1 (Acetyl-K125) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of E2F-1 protein acetylated at lysine 125. This antibody has been meticulously developed and rigorously validated to ensure optimal performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence.

The E2F-1 protein plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and is known to be acetylated at multiple lysine residues. Acetylation of E2F-1 at lysine 125 has been implicated in the modulation of its transcriptional activity and interaction with other proteins. Therefore, the ability to specifically detect and quantify this acetylation event is of utmost importance in understanding the intricate mechanisms underlying cell cycle control.

This polyclonal antibody has been generated using a highly purified and characterized peptide corresponding to the acetylated lysine 125 region of E2F-1 protein. It exhibits exceptional specificity, displaying minimal cross-reactivity with non-acetylated forms of E2F-1 or other related proteins. Furthermore, it demonstrates high sensitivity, enabling the detection of even low levels of acetylated E2F-1 in complex biological samples.

The E2F-1 (Acetyl-K125) Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated using various experimental approaches, ensuring its reliability and reproducibility. It has been successfully employed in numerous studies investigating the role of E2F-1 acetylation in diverse cellular processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, and DNA damage response.

In summary, the E2F-1 (Acetyl-K125) Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable research tool for scientists studying the intricate mechanisms of cell cycle regulation. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and reliability make it an indispensable asset in elucidating the functional significance of E2F-1 acetylation and its implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.
