TGFβ-1 is abundantly expressed in bone, articular cartilage and chondrocytes and is increased in osteoarthritis (OA). TGFβ-1 performs many cellular functions, including the control of cell growth, cell proliferation, cell differentiation and apoptosis. The precursor is cleaved into a latency-associated peptide (LAP) and a mature TGFβ-1 peptide. TGFβ-1 may also form heterodimers with other TGFβ family members. It has been found that TGFβ-1 is frequently upregulated in tumor cells. Mutations in this gene results in Camurati-Engelmann disease.","brand":"ELK Biotechnology","offers":[{"title":"20ug","offer_id":50413880213784,"sku":"EPT203","price":1339.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0590\/5652\/1400\/files\/ELK_5e8e9c17-827c-4139-aa59-5a64e0a09f61.jpg?v=1751164056","url":"https:\/\/danabiosci.com\/products\/ept203","provider":"Dana Bioscience","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
