A monoclonal antibody specific to Serum Amyloid A (SAA) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Serum Amyloid A (SAA) and unlabeled Serum Amyloid A (SAA) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Serum Amyloid A (SAA). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Serum Amyloid A (SAA) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Serum Amyloid A (SAA) in the sample.

Alternative Names

SA-A; SAA1; PIG4; TP53I4; Amyloid protein A; Amyloid fibril protein AA; Serum amyloid A-1 protein

Item Name

Serum Amyloid A

Research Area

Infection immunity;Kidney biomarker;Hepatology;

Reference

Acute Phase Response: Implication in ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction;Comparison of the Effects of Enoxaparin and Heparin on Inflammatory Biomarkers in Patients with ST-segment Elevated Myocardial Infarction: A prospective Open Label Pilot Clinical Trial;No association between vitamin D levels and inflammation markers in patients with acute coronary syndrome;Identification of plasma protein markers common to patients with malignant tumour and Abnormal Savda in Uighur medicine: a prospective clinical study;Relation of thyroid hormone abnormalities with subclinical inflammatory activity in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus;The effect of serum and follicular fluid amyloid-associated protein levels on in vitro fertilization outcome in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome;Circulating serum amyloid A: a potential biomarker for infection after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage;PATHWAY SPECIFIC MARKERS FOR DIAGNOSING IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME;

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0590/5652/1400/products/74120318_padded_logo_433797cf-58dc-400c-9c65-304d61cb4fa3.png?v=1644865776
