A monoclonal antibody specific to Pepsin (PP) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Pepsin (PP) and unlabeled Pepsin (PP) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Pepsin (PP). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Pepsin (PP) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Pepsin (PP) in the sample.

Alternative Names

Item Name

Pepsin

Research Area

Enzyme & Kinase;Metabolic pathway;Tumor immunity;Gastroenterology;

Reference

LEVEL OF PEPSIN AND BILE ACIDS IN THE SALIVA OF PATIENTS WITH GLOTTIS T1 CARCINOMA;Higher levels of total pepsin and bile acids in the saliva as a possible risk factor for early laryngeal cancer;Pepsin and bile acids in saliva in patients with laryngopharyngeal reflux – a prospective comparative study;Does Positioning Affect Tracheal Aspiration of Gastric Content in Ventilated Infants?;Association between Pepsin in Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid and Prognosis of Chronic Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Disease;Pulmonary aspiration in preschool children with cystic fibrosis;Association of Bile Acid and Pepsin Micro-aspiration with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Exacerbation;

ABCbiolab
96T / The minimum detectable dose of this kit is typically less than 0.93ng/mL / Homo sapiens (Human)
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0590/5652/1400/products/74120318_padded_logo_3fa88ee9-53e5-464c-8c1e-f9976d413439.png?v=1644865911
