It also interacts with pyrin, which is found in association with the cytoskeleton in myeloid\/monocytic cells and modulates immunoregulatory functions. Mutations in this gene are associated with PAPA (pyogenic sterile arthritis, pyoderma gangrenosum, and acne) syndrome.
