The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor (PEDF). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor (PEDF). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor (PEDF), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor (PEDF) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Alternative Names

SERPINF1; EPC1; PIG35; SDF3; Serpin F1; Cell proliferation-inducing gene 35; Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor,Clade F Member 1(Alpha-2 Antiplasmin); Stromal Cell Derived Factor 3

Item Name

Pigment Epithelium Derived Factor

Research Area

Cytokine;Neuro science;

Reference

Urinary Pigment Epithelium-Derived Factor as a Marker of Diabetic Nephropathy;Metformin Inhibits Expression and Secretion of PEDF in Adipocyte and Hepatocyte via Promoting AMPK Phosphorylation;Rosiglitazone Inhibits Expression and Secretion of PEDF in Adipose Tissue and Liver of Male SD Rats Via a PPAR-γ Independent Mechanism;Role of Pigment Epithelium-Derived Factor in Arsenic-Induced Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction in a Rat Model;

ABCbiolab
96T / The minimum detectable dose of this kit is typically less than 0.062ng/mL / Rattus norvegicus (Rat)
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0590/5652/1400/products/74120318_padded_logo_b5e9bb08-e5a7-4409-957c-d5627792a0c4.png?v=1644869118
