The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Matrix Gla Protein (MGP). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Matrix Gla Protein (MGP). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Matrix Gla Protein (MGP), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Matrix Gla Protein (MGP) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Alternative Names

MGLAP; GIG36; Cell growth-inhibiting gene 36 protein

Item Name

Matrix Gla Protein

Research Area

Metabolic pathway;Hematology;Bone metabolism;

Reference

Canola and hydrogenated soybean oils accelerate ectopic bone formation induced by implantation of bone morphogenetic protein in mice;Mesenchymal stromal cells-derived matrix Gla protein contribute to the alleviation of experimental colitis;

ABCbiolab
96T / The minimum detectable dose of this kit is typically less than 0.19ng/mL / Mus musculus (Mouse)
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0590/5652/1400/products/74120318_padded_logo_a5bffeca-aaf2-4014-84fd-3ff1ac85335f.png?v=1644867532
