Disulfidptosis
Disulfidptosis, a novel form of cell death identified in a publication in March 2023, primarily occurs in cells with high expression of SLC7A11. Under conditions of glucose deprivation, these cells experience abnormal accumulation of cystine and other disulfides within the cell, triggering disulfide stress. This leads to an increase in the content of disulfide bonds in the actin cytoskeleton, causing actin filaments to contract and disrupt the cytoskeletal structure, resulting in cell death. The process involves glucose uptake, cystine uptake, and the pentose phosphate pathway.
Product Introduction
Metabolism kits are detection tools developed based on chemical reactions, enzyme-catalyzed reactions,or the characteristics of material structures, specifically designed for the determination of substance content or enzyme activity in samples.
